It’s certainly not clear which way the FTSE 100 will go first. Our forecast is essentially the same but we can see 2 alternative routes for the FTSE to hit our “thick red line”. There is certainly no indication from any Index that a major correction is on it’s way but there is also little inclination for a final pop upwards.
The UK budget has done nothing to change our minds on the FTSE 100 forecast – ultimately we think a top is coming soon as inflation bites into company profits and interest rates begin to increase. That being said we merely follow the figures and trends and will adjust our forecast if necessary.
